BIOGRAPHY
A dentist, practising at Gariahat for 21 years, Dr. Ashok became the Managing Director of Ramakrishna Dental Care Research Centre Pvt Ltd in April 2002 and ran the centre for 10 years at 27/24, Bakultala Lane, Kolkata-42. After the agreement to sell of the building to Dental World in 2012, Dr. Ashok continued in Dental World as a Senior Consultant.
He left Dental World in April 2014 after the sale was complete and now aims to focus on prevention of dental diseases rather than the treatment of the same. Ever since the start of his career in 1980, Dr. Ashok has devoted 10% of his time and money on the prevention of dental diseases through free dental camps in the city and in neighbouring rural areas and through free Dental Health Checkups in schools in and around the city. By 2012, this amounted to about 60% of his time and income. He intends to organise talks, seminars and workshops through which he can help prevent dental diseases.
